Presidential Citizens Medal Recipient Richard 'Dick' G. Rutan
Dick Rutan, retired Air Force pilot, flew the civilian-made Voyager airplane in 1986 around the world in nine days. His non-stop, non-refuel flight made a new record that is yet to be broken.

A veteran of 325 combat missions during the Vietnam conflict, Dick Rutan had already proven himself a patriot and a hero.
